Description

Our program goal is to build an inclusive green economy. We collect the following demographic information solely to measure our progress toward meeting this goal. Submission of this information is voluntary, and refusal to provide it will not subject you to any adverse treatment. We will keep the information confidential and may use it only in accordance with applicable laws, executive orders, and regulations, including those that require summarizing and reporting the information to the federal government for civil rights enforcement. When reported, data will not identify any specific individual.

Are you interested in exploring the complete lifecycle of a sustainably built product, from initial concept to end-of-life recycling? Whether your passion lies in user-centered design, sustainable material selection, agile project management, or full-scale product leadership, this comprehensive training course is tailor-made to advance your knowledge and professional skills. Understanding the product development process is critical to supporting Los Angeles' growing innovation hub. During this FREE remote, self-paced, eight-week training, participants will meet with LACI Startups and learn the importance of product development, machine learning, and design thinking from a sustainability lens. Participants will learn about sustainable industry practices and how cleantech startups respond to market demand with their innovative technology.

In this application, we will ask a set of questions that will help us select 60 candidates to participate in the Technical Bootcamp. Please be prepared to include a copy of your resume, answer two short essay questions as they relate to product development, and complete a short assessment activity. In order for your application to be reviewed, essay responses must meet the minimum word requirement (200-250 words). Selected participants are matched with LACI Startups and Partners for internships and potential green job opportunities.
