Batteries are the single largest, most expensive, and most dangerous component of any Electric Vehicle, so understanding them is vital to any mechanic or technician working in this field. The Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) will provide 15 participants with a 3-day course (Batteries for Light EV Technicians) to take an in-depth look at these revolutionary energy storage systems. Through a combination of lectures and hands-on work, students will develop the knowledge and skills needed to handle batteries confidently and safely. Students in the program will also attain their NFPA 70-E Certification to prepare them with electrical safety standards within the workplace.

In this application, we will ask a set of questions that will help us select 15 candidates to participate in the Technical Bootcamp. In this application, please be prepared to include a copy of your resume and answer two short essay questions as it relates to light battery knowledge and your interest in the training course.
