Request For Information (RFI): City Climate Innovation Challenge For Zero Emissions Delivery
Opens Jun 20 2024 04:42 PM (PDT)
Deadline Jul 30 2024 05:00 PM (PDT)
Description

In partnership with C40 and Climate Mayors, LACI’s City Climate Innovation Challenge for Zero Emissions Delivery (ZED Challenge) is seeking solutions–via this request for information (RFI)--to be considered for piloting with local governments across the United States. LACI is primarily seeking technology innovations but also invites submission of policy and business model innovations from startups as well as established corporates and other entities (e.g., nonprofits, academia, policy consultants, community groups, etc) to advance zero emissions delivery for the last mile as well as first and middle mile.

Responses to this RFI will be considered for pilots with cities, and/or inform the policy and business model considerations for LACI, our partners, and cities engaged in the ZED Challenge. LACI will work with the cities to identify startup and corporate solutions to be piloted in innovation “sandboxes” along with providing access to pilot funding for select startup solutions, technical support, data analysis, peer-to-peer learnings, and convenings with existing private sector delivery companies. Once successful solutions are identified, LACI will work with the cities to scale the policy and business model innovations while providing access to debt and venture funding for startups. The ZED Challenge will build on LACI’s unique model for piloting and scaling solutions with cities.

However, there is no guarantee that any contract or pilot will be awarded to respondents to this RFI.
